Shashank Mangal of Morena has topped the country in Graduate Aptitude Test-2019 with 98.9 percentile. An IIT (Dhanbad) final year student in instrumentation subject, Shashank wants to start a start-up in robotics.
Shahshank has scored 989 out of 1000 in GATE 2019. “I was confident after writing the paper. I am happy that I scored so much in GATE,” said Shashank. He said that he studied hard for getting such a good rank. “This is the mantra of my success,” said Shahsank.
Talking about his preparation, Shashank said, “I had attended a crash course in New Delhi. That helped me while preparing for the exam.” After completing his class 10 from Morena, Shashank shifted to Gwalior. “The standard of education is not that good in Morena. I wanted him to join a school where he could study better. He had scored 92% in class 12 from a school in Gwalior,” said Shashank’s father Koshal Mangal, who runs an electrical business in Morena. He is a B.Tech degree holder. “I have never pressurized my kids. Even Shashank’s elder sister is an engineering degree holder in instrumentation. She has also secured good rank. I am happy that both have made me proud,” said Koshal.
About robotics start-up, Shashank said, “I need time for that. I have given GATE for that reason as I can get time before joining any course. I will also prepare for the Indian Engineering Services (IES).”
