Eastern India’s first research park established in premier institute IIT-K, is worth around rupees 100 crore is equipped with incubation and research centre. It would be more ideal for conducting academic programmes in colloboration with industry experts.
According to Partha Pratim Das, professor in-charge of the IIT Kharagpur research park, “The research park, which is first-of-its-kind in eastern India, will seek to develop and impart skills to product development, technology transfer, technology commercialisation and patenting.”

The park is spread across 10 acres in Rajarhat area in the northeastern border of kolkata. The park was inaugurated during the 65th convocation of IIT-K held on Tuesday by union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.
