The Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) and the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics (MDAE) recently signed an agreement for two unique post graduate programs in economics and data science and finance.
A statement issued by the institutes stated that, the programs will be offered with the objectives of providing students with relevant skill sets to succeed as economists, finance professionals and data scientists in the current environment.
The partnership between the two institutes will bring immense value to the students who pursue the program. MDAE’s network and industry relevant approach coupled with Gokhale’s rich lineage of research and training will ensure adherence to the highest academic and industry standards, said the statement.

Students at MDAE have landed jobs and have also been admitted into further programs at top-tier foreign universities. This tie-up will only further enhance such opportunities. Besides the academic programme, faculty and students from both the institutes will also collaborate on research.
Rajas Parchure, officaiting director, GIPE said, “With this collaboration students will now be equipped to make definite contributions to business and innovation by means of a unique skillset comprising of macroeconomics, finance, econometrics and business and data analytics.”
