GATE 2020 Mechanical exam tomorrow; check last minute tips here

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 Mechanical Engineering paper will be conducted tomorrow i.e. on February 1, 2020, in two sessions. The forenoon session will be from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the afternoon session will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Students are advised to go through the GATE Mechanical previous year’s question paper to get familiarised with the exam pattern.

Insights from last year’s GATE 2019 ME paper

Last year, the GATE Mechanical Engineering exam was conducted on February 2, 2019. Here are the key takeaways from last year’s ME paper:

GATE ME 2019 Session 1: The students who appeared for the Session 1 of GATE 2019 said ME Paper was easy to moderate level. It had some lengthy questions. There were about 26 NAT i.e. 10 were 1 marks, and 16 were 2 marks questions which were the really tested preparations of each candidate. The highest weightage questions were on Manufacturing & Thermodynamics topics.

GATE ME 2019 Session 2: Candidates who appeared for the GATE ME 2019 Session 2 found the exam moderate to tough level with tricky questions. Session 2 had around 32 NAT questions due to which time management was difficult for candidates. Manufacturing & Thermodynamics topics carried the highest weightage questions.
