National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday commenced the online application process for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) on its official website.
The interested candidates can apply online for the NET 2020 through the official website of NTA NET — ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The last date to submit online applications for UGC NET 2020 is April 16, 2020. Candidates should note that application in any other mode will not be accepted. Candidates can submit only one application.
NTA has scheduled to conduct UGC NET June 2020 from June 15 to 20, 2020. First shift will be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and second shift will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
UGC NET June 2020: Paper Pattern
Paper I – 100 marks for 50 questions
Paper II – 200 marks for 100 questions

Paper I
The questions in Paper I intend to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
Paper II
This is based on the subject selected by the candidate and will assess domain knowledge.
Follow the steps given below to apply online:
Apply for online registration using your unique email ID and mobile number.
Fill in the online application form and note down the system generated application number. Upload your scanned images of photograph (file size: 10 kb – 200 kb) and signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
Pay fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI/Paytm and keep proof of fee paid.
Download and take a print out of the confirmation page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for further reference.

The application fee for UGC NET 2020 varies with categoties. For General candidates the application fee is Rs 1000, for OBC- NCL candidates fee is Rs 500 and for ST/SC/PwD candidates application fee is Rs 250.
Is there any maximum age limit for UGC-NET?
There is no upper age limit to apply for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor. However, there is an age limit for JRF (Not more than 30 years as on 01.06.2020.)
