BATHINDA: All india Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Central University of punjab Bathinda(CUPB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation in education, innovation and research in the field of biomedical and related sciences AIIMS Director Prof. On wednesday Dinesh Kumar Singh and CUPB Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P Tiwari inked the pact.

AIIMS Director Prof. “Both the institutes will work together to promote academic and research activities related to basic as well as clinical sciences with special focus on common monogenic multifactorial/ adult onset disorders prevalent in Malwa region of Punjab” said by Dinesh Kumar Singh.

He stressed that the aim of this MoU will be to understand the cause of the Disease (including clinical & molecular machinery and environment factors) to develop durable cures for society. He asserted that both CUPB & AIIMS Bathinda have huge potential to contribute to the nation and this collaboration will provide a way forward to both Institute to become the Centre of Excellence.
