In India, employment scams or job fraud are very prevalent, also the students know how difficult it is to find a career that fits in their needs perfectly. Nevertheless, there are many fake career advice services available on the Internet, they tell you that they have a job opening in your respective area, track the students’ history and call them regarding fake job offers. By paying a certain amount, they make false claims about the chances of employment and how can a student get their respective job. Therefore, when searching for jobs online, a student should always be cautious and not pay any money to enter, as any genuine work company would not ask for money.
There are hundreds of well-documented strategies and examples that people should be careful to look for. Study warning signs to help you know whether a job is a scam until you apply for a job and, if you’re not sure, take the time to analyze the business to ensure that the job is authentic. Here are some of ways to say if a job is a scam –
Evaluate the Company:
Visit the company’s website and consider that it is a job scam if they don’t have one such opening offered to you or it doesn’t match with how they describe the business. Collect the company contact information and through telephonic conversation ask the actual company professionals about the job offer that you have received. They a student is able to find out that it is a job scam he/she can complain regarding the same to the respective companies through an official mail or any other valid medium.
Take it a step further and check for ‘business name scam’ to see if details on recorded scams can be found.
Job Pay Details:
Try to figure out whether there’s a salary or you are paid on contract if it is not specified in the work posting. Ask how often you get paid, how much you get paid, and how will you get paid. If the business doesn’t pay an hourly rate or a salary, investigate the specifics carefully. Also, do not pay for any job offer, the valid companies do not ask you for any payment to provide the jobs.
Check References for the Business:
You are as entitled to verify the references of an organization as they are to check you out. If you’re not sure if the business is legitimate, ask for references, request a list of other contractors or workers. Contact the sources then to inquire how this works out, do not consider the opportunity if the organization is not able to include references.
Be Cautious:
Read all the information properly, if the opportunity sounds too good to be true, it is probably a job scam! Just because in a legitimate publication a job lead appears, it doesn’t mean that the job or business is, necessarily authentic.
Using Networking:
Through the social media networks try to reach the people working from that particular company which is been addressed to you, approach the valid company employees to know more in detail about the job opening. If a student feels it is a job scam he can post it on social media website to ensure that if it is for real and if the same job scam has happened to any other individual, this way you can verify the job scam.
