Gujarat University has released the semester exam schedule for undergraduate and postgraduate courses on December 14, 2020. The examination for semester 1 to 9 for various courses would begin on December 29 and would end on January 7, 2021. The complete schedule is available for all appearing candidates on the official site of Gujarat University on gujaratuniversity.ac.in.
The exams would be conducted for BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, MA, M.Com, LLB, MSW among others, as per the official notice.
Earlier, the exams were scheduled to conducted from December 8 onwards for the third to the fifth semester. Keeping the increasing number of COVID cases under consideration, the university exams were postponed.

The semester examinations would be conducted in pen and paper mode. The exam duration is for 2 hours and candidates are allowed to select the exam center of their choice. The varsity has activated the exam center change link on the official site of Gujarat University. The link would remain open till December 21, 2020, and candidates can follow the process to change the exam center. As per reports, the varsity will conduct the semester exams in 45 centers across the state.
The varsity has directed all the colleges where the exams would be conducted to follow the Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs issued by the state government for the conduct of the exams.
Meanwhile, the state government has canceled the decision to reopen schools and colleges in the state from November 23 onwards. The decision was taken by the government in view of the surging COVID19 cases in the post-festival season. New dates for reopening schools and colleges in Gujarat have not been announced as yet.
