Pune, February 17, 2021: The traditional Indian knowledge system is of great interest to the community worldwide. Universalization of traditional Indian knowledge system has been the mandate of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and it is working to create a strong bridge between India and those who want to study its culture and enhance India’s soft power.
To create a structured e-Content that will provide basic information for those within India and overseas on Indian Culture and tradition ICCR is entering into an agreement with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) through its e-Content Development and Learning Innovation Centre (e-CDLIC). This Centre has expertise in developing e-content using its state-of-the-art studio facility and has created more than 1300 video-based courses.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two of them will help to bring Indian Art Culture, Indian Epics, Indian wildlife, temple architecture, folk art and tradition, Yoga, Indian cuisine, traditional dances of India etc through e-content will reach the world.
This MoU will be signed by ICCR president Dr Vinay Sahastrabuddhe and Prof Nitin Karmalkar on 18th February at University’s Shivaji Sabhagruh. SPPU shall provide a framework for e-courses and engage the best academic brains to create the most engaging content that would include presentation, quizzes reading material each of two hours. These capsules will not only help foreigners but even those who want to study its culture and enhance India’s soft power.
This shall be a unique initiative that brings Indian culture and tradition through support from best in class academic Institution-SPPU in the cultural capital of India i.e Pune.
