IIT Bombay Offers Free Online Course on Java on SWAYAM Platform

IIT Bombay offers a free online course on Java on the SWAYAM platform for anybody who is interested to learn the programming language. The spoken tutorial on Java has been funded by the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The course comprises 43 audio-video spoken tutorials by By Prof Kannan Moudgalya, Principal Investigator of Spoken Tutorial Project, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, using which participants can self-learn Java programming language. “Calling out to the Java experts. Master the codes and concepts of this object-oriented, open-source, high-level programming language with the Java course by IIT Bombay on Swayam,” tweeted the official account of SWAYAM.

The Java spoken tutorial available on the SWAYAM platform has been contributed jointly by TalentSprint, Hyderabad and the Spoken Tutorial Team, IIT Bombay. “Other contributors who helped in the creation of the scripts are Prathamesh Salunke, Arya Ratish, Ashwini Patil.  The team received ample guidance from Mr. Ashok Pichai from TalentSprint, Hyderabad,” says the website.

The spoken tutorial is an AICTE approved FDP course and can be covered over a period of 15 weeks. Those who wish to enroll in the course can register on the SWAYAM platform to access the spoken tutorial.
