The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) manages and regulates the counseling process for admission to all IITs. The seat allotment through JoSAA is based on a candidate’s JEE Advanced rank and college preference. Candidates who have qualified GATE/ NET (JRF)/ INSPIRE/ CEED can apply for MS by Research and Ph.D. programs.
IIT JAM is a national-level science entrance exam that is conducted on a rotational basis, every year, to shortlist aspirants for admission in MSc and other post-bachelor courses offered at IITs.
