About Rizwan Ahmed CPA
Rizwan Ahmed has worked in finance for all of his adult life. He has known of the importance of making smart financial decisions from a young age. Rizwan Ahmed has seen people struggle financially and knows how hard it is to seek out feasible solutions to complex financial issues. One of his greatest motivations is helping those who truly need assistance with their finances. This is why he created the Rizwan Ahmed CPA Scholarship.
Early career
Rizwan’s passion for finances blossomed throughout high school and well into college. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, specifically in Applied Economics, from Hunter College. He then received his second degree in Accounting and Finance from the City University of New York, Queens College. He started working as a Senior Accountant in 2006, and stayed at the same firm for three years until becoming an Audit and Tax Manager for three years.
Current ventures
For the last 10 years, Rizwan Ahmed has worked as a Certified Public Accountant, servicing clients in the fields of manufacturing and distribution, retail, consumer products, construction, real estate, employee benefit plans, and professional services. He is passionate about financial literacy and helping those less fortunate than himself. His career goal is to reach out to as many people in need as possible and ensure they are financially prepared and capable of taking on financial challenges in an increasingly complex business world.

Mr. Rizwan Ahmed CPA has recently established the Rizwan Ahmed CPA Scholarship. His scholarship will ease the tuition burden of one student selected based on both their application and merit. This scholarship will pave their way towards graduation, and hopefully, towards the pursuit of a successful career.
How to submit your Rizwan Ahmed CPA application:
Submissions must include all information noted below, and be sent via email to info@rizwanahmedcpascholarship.com . The scholarship essay must be submitted and attached as a Word document.
Essay Question (answer must contain 700-850 words):
“What does it mean to financially astute in today’s modern world?”
