About the Program
The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna 2020-21, Maharashtra from students who are wards of registered labour and who have taken admission in Technical, Professional or Non-Professional courses at graduation or post-graduation level. The selected students will receive up to INR 30,000 for 10 months as a scholarship amount.
Scholarship Details:
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna 2020-21, Maharashtra, Deadline: 30-Nov-2021
Eligibility:
To be eligible, an applicant must –
Be a resident of Maharashtra
Be a child of registered labour/child of Alpabhudarak or both
Have taken admission in Technical, Professional or Non Professional courses at graduation or post-graduation level
Belong to a family where the annual income is less than INR 8 lakh
Note: For students pursuing non-professional courses, the annual income should be less than INR 1 Lakh
Benefits:
- For the child of Registered Labour/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder):
- For institute in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City – INR 30,000 for 10 months
- For institute in other areas INR 20,000 for 10 months
- For the child of the family where the annual income is not more than 1 Lakh:
- For institute in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City – INR 10,000 for 10 months
- For Institute in other areas INR 8,000 for 10 months
- For the child of the family where the annual income is more than 1 Lakh but less than 8 Lakh:
- For institute in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City – INR 10,000 for 10 months
- For Institute in other areas INR 8,000 for 10 months
- For Non-Professional Courses:
- For the child of the family where the annual income is not more than 1 Lakh – INR 2,000 for 10 months
- Under Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance (family income less than INR 8 Lakh):
- Scholars will receive INR 3,000 per annum (for 10 months in an academic year) if studying in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad
- Scholars will receive INR 2,000 per annum (for 10 months in an academic year) if studying in other locations

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps –
Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now‘
Step 2: Click on ‘New Applicant Registration’.
Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number and register.
Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
Step 7: Log in using the username and password.
Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.

Terms and Conditions
- If an applicant has a gap of 2 years in his/her study, he /she is not eligible for this scholarship.
- Applicant should not be availing any other Nirvah Bhatta benefit.
- The applicant should be a hosteller.
- Only 2 children from the same family can apply for this scholarship.
