Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must –
- be a citizen of India
- be below 28 years of age as on 1st January 2021 (Note – Relaxation of up to 5 years will be given to candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC applicants)
- hold M.Sc. or equivalent degree or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences etc.
- have secured a minimum of 55% marks
- have qualified JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) & LS-NET in joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2019
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the awards in the following sequence:
- Candidates who have qualified JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) will be given a fellowship at par with CSIR/UGC i.e., INR 31,000 per month for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and INR 35,000 for Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
- Candidates who have qualified LSNET will be given a fellowship at existing rates for both CSIR/UGC with a preference for CSIR i.e., INR 18,000 per month for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and INR 21,000 per month for Senior Research Fellow (SRF).
- The fellowship will carry an annual contingency grant of INR 20,000 which will be provided to the university/institution.

- CSIR ‐ JRF or CSIR LS ‐ NET certificate

- Proof in case of physically handicapped

Step 3: Click on the’Apply online for HSCST Fellowship’.
Step 4: Now, click on ‘New User/Register Here’ on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 5: Fill in the required details to ‘Register’. (Note – If already registered, kindly login using valid credentails.)
Step 6: After successful registration, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and select the application form for HSCST Fellowship.
Step 7: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
