NEW DELHI: Pondicherry University has decided to grant two additional chances to all Arts and Science undergraduate and postgraduate students to clear arrears. Students admitted from the academic year 2006-07 to 2015-16 who could not complete their course within the maximum duration of time prescribed will now be able to complete their degree.
“Pondicherry University Vice-Chanellor Professor Gurmeet Singh in the larger interest of students community has granted two additional chances to all the Arts and Science undergraduate and postgraduate students to clear arrears papers in November/ December 2022 and April/ May 2023 examination session,” the official statement read. This is applicable to all the affiliated colleges of Pondicherry University situated at Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Pondicherry University exam notification for November/December 2022 and April/May 2023 sessions will be hosted on the university website, pondiuni.edu.in, soon. Immediately after the notification is issued, the online registration for the exams will begin, the university said. It also advised students to regularly check the university website to complete the registration on time and clear the arrear papers.
In a circular issued to all affiliated colleges, the Pondicherry University said: “The colleges are requested to inform the concerned students through mail, letter and circular etc and give wide publicity of the additional chances given by the university to help students towards completing their degree.”
Students applying for the exam will have to pay Rs 3,000 as registration fee and Rs 1,000 for each theory/ practical paper. The university also requested the colleges to submit the list of students who are willing to avail the opportunity to appear in the exam by this month end.
