To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must –
- be an Indian citizen
- be a sportsperson between the age group of 14 to 24 years
- have represented India in Sub-Junior/Junior/Senior National Championships, All India Inter-University Tournaments, National School Games in 2021-22 & onwards
The selected candidates will receive the scholarship in the following way –
| Age Group | Amount of scholarship per month |
| Over 14 years and under 18 years | INR 12,000 |
| Over 18 years | INR 16,000 |

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:

Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to ‘Register’. (Note – If already registered, log in using the registered email Id.)
Step 3: Download the application form.
Step 4: Fill in all the required details.
Step 5: Send the complete & signed application in the prescribed format with requisite enclosures in an envelope (13.5 x 9.5 inches) superscribed in the bold letter with “AAI SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2023-24” on the top left corner of the outer envelope to the under mentioned address latest by 21st February 2022: –
