To be eligible, an applicant must –
For Girl Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 20% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of 60%-90.99% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of 85%-89.99% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of 85%-89.99% marks in CUET
For Girl Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 25% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of 91%-95.99% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of 90%-94.99% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of 90%-94.99% marks in CUET
For Girl Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 30% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of >96% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of >95% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of >95% marks in CUET
For Boy Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 15% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of 75%-80.99% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of 80%-84.99% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of 80%-84.99% marks in CUET
For Boy Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 20% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of 81%-90.99% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of 85%-89.99% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of 85%-89.99% marks in CUET
For Boy Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 25% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of 91%-95.99% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of 90%-94.99% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of 90%-94.99% marks in CUET
For Boy Child Scholarship (Undergraduate Programs), to get a 30% scholarship, a candidate must –
- score a minimum of >96% marks in 12th board exams OR
- score a minimum of >95% marks in JEE OR
- score a minimum of >95% marks in CUET
For Merit Scholarship – B. Tech
- Secure an aggregate of 80% marks in Class 10 and 12
- Secure an aggregate of 80% marks in PCM for Tech (All Streams) in Computer Science and Engineering
For Merit Scholarship – BBA/LLB
- Have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in Class 10 and 12
For Merit Scholarship (MBA), to get a tuition fee waiver of 20%, a student must –
- score a minimum of 75% or a CGPA of 7.5 in graduation
For Merit Scholarship – M.Tech
- Have obtained 70 percentile and above GATE
The scholarships will be given under different categories based on a student’s merit. Different categories of scholarships and their benefits include –
- Up to 30% tuition fee waivers for undergraduate girl students based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
- Up to 30% tuition fee waivers for undergraduate boy students based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
- 20% tuition fee waivers for all MBA students based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
- 30% concession on tuition fee for bonafide Uttarakhand students upon meeting the eligibility criteria
- 51 seats for Freeship programs that include regular courses for students belonging to the weaker section on the basis of merit.
- Up to 100% freeship on tuition fees and hostel expenses for sports persons representing the country in the international level.
For M.Tech Students:
- GATE Scholarship of INR 12,400/- per month
- Research grants up to a sum of INR 50,000/-
- Valid email ID and phone number
- Scanned image of photograph and signature
- Original Registration Payment Receipt
- Graduation mark sheet and certificate (if applicable)
- Class 12 marksheet and certificate
- Class 10 marksheet and certificate
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now‘ button.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in the required details to ‘Register’. (Note – If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘Apply Now’ button and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all the required details in the ‘UPES APPLICATION FORM’.
Step 5: Pay an application fee of INR 1,350 and generate a system ID and password. (Note – If a candidate chooses a non-examination pathway, the admission is done on a merit basis or score in national-level entrance exams.)
Step 6: Appear for and qualify for the entrance exam or personal interview conducted by UPES by booking the most suitable slot. (Note – Make sure to take the essential documents while appearing for the UPESEAT.)
Step 7: Appear for central counselling.
Step 8: If admission is granted, the applicants will automatically be considered for the available scholarships.
