The National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) have collaborated with ETS TOEFL to launch the ‘UK-India TOEFL Scholarship’. The scholarship will support at least 25 Indian students with a scholarship worth Rs 60 lakh. Students who wish to study undergraduate or postgraduate courses in the United Kingdom can apply for the scholarship at toefltest.in/scholarship
The scholarship is a part of India @ 75, ETS @ 75, and India-UK ties celebration. Each selected candidate will receive a scholarship worth Rs 2.4 lakh. The last date for Indian students to apply for the scholarship is July 31, 2023.
This scholarship will include tuition fees, housing deposits, transportation and books. The scholarship winners will be chosen by a selection panel comprising of NISAU, UK university representatives.
Eligibility:
– A minimum TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120.
– Studying for the first time at a UK university.
– Offer letter from a UK university.
To apply for the scholarship, students must submit a 500 word essay on “Creating a social impact with a UK-based education” along with their TOEFL test scorecard.
Meanwhile, Educational Testing Service (ETS) has made some changes to the TOEFL test. The TOEFL iBT test will now be of two hours instead of three hours and now the test will also have a more modern ‘Writing for an Academic Discussion’ task which will replace independent writing task.
