NEW DELHI: University of Delhi will begin the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) admission process soon. DU admission 2023 for UG and PG programmes will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2023). As per the latest reports, the DU UG, PG admissions 2023 were slated to begin in May-end on the official website, du.ac.in.
This year, the university has opted for CUET PG exam 2023 for admission to postgraduate courses. In the debut-edition of CUET, DU admitted students only to the UG courses offered by the colleges. In addition, it announced to launch two separate portals for UG and PG admissions through the Common Seat Allocation System, as per the PTI report. The DU UG admission process will be hosted on the official website, admission.uod.ac.in.
The DU CSAS UG admission portal and CSAS PG admission website will be launched soon. Last year, the university began the admission process 10 days after the CUET UG exam was concluded. Earlier, the NTA announced that it will hold the CUET exam from May 21 to 31, however, the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said that the CUET exam dates have been extended till June 6.
Like last year, DU hosted a number of webinars to help candidates with the CUET UG 2023 and understand the admission process. The DU admission process 2023 will include registration, choice-filling, allocation of seats and accepting seats allotted.
The maximum number of applications through CUET UG 2023 has been received for Delhi University, followed by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Allahabad University. The DU notified a total of 70,000 seats last year, of which only 7 percent of seats remained vacant the previous year.
