To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a girl student
- be a domicile of West Bengal
- have passed Class 12 in the year 2023
- be studying B.Sc.(Hons.), Engineering or Medicine at undergraduate level in any institution, registered in West Bengal
Note –
- The applicants who have passed H.S. or equivalent examination before 2023 are not eligible to apply.
- Students pursuing B.Sc. Pass course/ Diploma course/ B.Sc. Nursing course are not eligible to apply.
The selected candidates will receive INR 4,000 per month and an annual book grant of INR 5,000 for 4/5 years (till completion of B.Tech./B.E./MBBS/BS- MS/M.Sc. degree).
The girl candidates selected under Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti 2023 (a flagship program of JBNSTS) will receive the following benefits along with the benefit mentioned above:
- A research grant amounting to INR 80,000 (INR 60,000 and INR 20,000) per annum is awarded to JBNSTS Senior Scholars till completion of Master’s degree in Basic Science curriculum vis-a-vis DST INSPIRE norms and regulation, Government of India.
- Academic and Career Counseling.
- Participation in Seminars and Colloquia.
- Travel & Enrichment Programs.
- Project Work
- Scanned image of signature in jpg/jpeg format [Signature size – within 50 KB]
- High-resolution recent passport-size photograph in jpg/jpeg format [Photo size – within 100 KB]
- Scan copy of marksheet of Class 10 examination in jpeg/pdf format (size – 1 MB)
- SScan copy of marksheet of Class 12 examination in jpeg/pdf format (size – 1 MB)
