Punjab to get 8 modern free UPSC coaching centres for apirants

By India Today Education Desk: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the opening of eight state-of-the-art training centres to provide coaching for aspiring candidates of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations.

Concerned over the declining representation of Punjab’s candidates in central services, especially UPSC exams, Mann aims to reverse this trend by offering quality coaching to the state’s talented youth.

AIMING TO BOOST CANDIDATES’ SUCCESS

During a recent meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his concerns over the decreasing number of Punjab’s candidates succeeding in UPSC exams.

He attributed the decline to two primary reasons – the inclination of youngsters towards pursuing opportunities abroad and the lack of quality coaching facilities within the state.

Determined to address this issue, Mann’s government is committed to establishing modern training centres to offer free and top-notch coaching to UPSC aspirants.

ENABLING YOUTH TO BECOME OFFICERS
The proposed centres will aim to prepare candidates for prestigious positions like the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and other important services.

Punjab boasts a rich legacy of producing exceptional bureaucrats who have contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of the country.

Through these training centres, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann envisions nurturing a new generation of skilled and committed officers who can serve the nation with dedication and excellence.

ENSURING EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

With the state’s objective of empowering Punjabi youngsters to occupy high offices and contribute to the nation’s progress, these training centres will be instrumental in providing equal opportunities to deserving candidates.

The government plans to offer free quality training to ensure candidates can perform their best in UPSC exams. Additionally, the government is also exploring the possibility of introducing online training to further facilitate UPSC aspirants across Punjab.
