To be eligible, an applicant must:
- hold membership of ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India)
- be less than 40 years of age as on the date of application
- be a full-time student at the university/college/institution while pursuing Ph.D. degree
- not avail any other scholarship for the same
Benefits
A total of 5 selected scholars will receive a monthly scholarship of INR 75,000 for 3 years and an annual contingency grant of INR 50,000.
The candidates are required to submit the following documents duly signed and stamped by the Supervisor of the candidate for Ph.D. degree or any other competent signing authority of the university/college/institution:
- Research proposal in not more than 3,000 words
- Abstract of research proposal in not more than 300 words
- Proofs of qualification for NET/SLET/MPhil etc.
- Copy of ICAI Membership
- Copy of Ph.D. Enrolment/registration
On completion of the scholarship, the scholar should submit the following within one year:
- Copy of the Ph.D. thesis submitted to the University for Award of the degree along with a summary of the report (3,000-4,000 words)
- Research papers published
Note:
- The above documents should be submitted in hard copy and a soft copy in a pen drive.
- In case a thesis is revised and re-submitted, a copy of the same should be submitted to the ICAI also.
