IGCE : The institution functions under the renowned A.C.T Educational and Charitable Trust and seeks to empower students meet the educational challenges boldly and effectively in a globally
competitive arena. Indira Gandhi College of Education was established in the year 2009. It is approved by NCTE and affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. The college was started by eminent educationalists and philanthropists with a view to serve various sections of the society by providing them quality education. The college was started with an aim of imparting quality teacher education to the rural students who are socially and economically weaker in our society. The primary objective of the institution is to promote human values and empower the rural poor through academic excellence. The college offers B.Ed Programme and with the intake of 100 Students as approved by NCTE.

TOPIC OF THE CONFERENCE
The dynamic and highly motivated youth are the backbone and harbingers of the society and they play a crucial role in the social, economic and cultural progress of the nation. Aftermath of the
pandemicis marked with unprecedented changes in all the fields, especially in the field of education at various levels. Though online education gaining momentum during the pandemic has been a
welcoming change, it has brought its own repercussions, Mass education without a focus on quality, commercialisation of education, unrealistic aspirations of the stakeholders, lack of proper guidance and counselling, to name a few, have created attitudinal problems, academic stress, burnout, deterioration, and loss of respect for learning and learned, that is, the teacher. Nourishing relationships, cordial social interactions, social awareness and relationship management are
the need of the hour for today’s youth to become empowered, empathetic global leaders of tomorrow.
