The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a new assessment criteria for the CA final paper 6. The CA final paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions would now be an open book and case study based on the New Scheme of Education and Training.
However, the duration of the exam will remain to be of four hours and the manner of assessment of this paper would also be 40 per cent by way of MCQs and 60 per cent in the form of descriptive questions in each case study of 25 marks.
“Students may note that the assessment of Final Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions under the New Scheme of Education and Training would be open book and case study based,” ICAI in an official statement said.
“The Council has decided that the duration of the examination of this paper would continue to be four hours and the manner of assessment of this paper would also be 40% by way of MCQs and 60% in the form of Descriptive Questions in each case study of 25 marks.”
Accordingly, it added, there will be five case studies of 25 marks each out of which students will be required to attempt any four.
ICAI in June last year announced new courses on prosecution, psychology, philosophy and artificial intelligence in the new curriculum for 2024. The ICAI CA new course sought to have international acceptability, and provision of subject choices except for core subjects, three years of articleship in the old course has been reduced to two years.
