Anshu Sood made history in 2022 by securing the highest-ever campus placement package of Rs 58.48 lakh per annum as a 25-year-old MBA graduate from Panjab University. Her incredible salary package marked a 10.22 percent increase in the highest package of 2022 as compared to the year before.
Anshu, hailing from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, secured a Nigeria-based sales manager post at Tolaram Group, headquartered in Singapore. This diverse conglomerate operates in various sectors, including food and infrastructure.
JOURNEY TO SUCCESS
Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Engineering from the University Institute of Engineering Technology, Anshu later pursued an MBA at the University Business School (UBS), Panjab University.
She also worked as a marketing intern with Airtel during her summer internship in MBA.
Speaking with the media back then, Anshu said that she had been eyeing an average package of Rs 20 LPA but had managed to go far beyond. He credited the the supportive role played by her teachers and the UBS placement cell.
Anshu’s path was not conventional. After a stint with a leading company in 2020, she opted for an MBA as the salary package hadnt been satisfactory. Her decision paid off.
ADVICE FOR JOB ASPIRANTS
In her media interviews, Anshu had one major advice for job aspirants: “Read newspapers, magazines, and learn about current affairs. Don’t just stick to the syllabus.”
