All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Chairman Anil Dattaraya Sahasrabudhe on Sunday encouraged all higher education institutions in the nation to get accredited by 2022.
Distributing the accreditation status on the institutes’ site would wind up obligatory, he said.
Fifteen for every penny of the advanced education foundations in the nation are licensed while the rest still don’t have accreditation by either the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) or the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the two accreditation offices.
“All the specialized and advanced education organizations ought to go for accreditation by 2022 to energize sound rivalry among them. This would help enhance the general nature of advanced education in the nation. The procedure has begun from 2018,” Sahasrabudhe said here at the ‘National Conference on Indian Higher Education’ composed by EPSI and APAI.
“It would be obligatory for the establishments to distribute their accreditation status on the official site with the goal that the understudies and their folks may think about its foundation and other imperative characteristics previously selecting,” he said.
“A few universities with the great framework will be given six years of accreditation while the direct ones will get three years of accreditation. The universities that are meet certain criteria like foundation, nature of educators, position and business enterprise records won’t authorize,” he said.
The universities that won’t choose accreditation will likewise need to pay the enrolment charge of Rs 1 lakh every year, the authority said.
He encouraged the organizations to go for a National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) that will enable them to contend with other chief foundations internationally.
