Two students of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) bagged international placement from Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) to the tune of Rs 45 lakh per annum, which is the highest international placement bagged by any UoH student so far.
The students – Pankaj Venuturapalli and Mounika Akula -of Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology (CASEST) are the first ones from the School of Physics to receive an international placement. “We are recruited for the junior scientist positions. We will be working on projects that deal with the 5G technology. We are expected to join the company on November 1 in Villach, Austria,” said Venuturapalli.
They will be working at SAL, Austria on cutting edge radio frequency IC design research related to 5G and massive-MIMO. “I believe the final year project that I pursued on radio frequency communication has helped me fetch this job. I was also referred by research supervisor Sankara Rao Pasupureddi,” said Akula.
