Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must
- Be an Indian citizen of 40 years of age as of 31st December 2022
Note – Only those born on or after 1 January 1982 are eligible for consideration in the year 2022.
Benefits
The selected awardees will receive a cash prize of INR 1 lakh, a Medal and a certificate.
Other benefits –
- II AC return rail fare and local conveyance as applicable.
- Reimbursement will be made on the production of tickets.

Selection Criteria
The evaluation and recommendation of the Research Council and National Commission are considered by the Council of the Academy which makes the final selection.
Terms and Conditions
- Candidates shortlisted by the Research Council will be invited to present their research work for consideration in Research Council and National Commission Meeting.
- Nominations, which are not complete in all aspects or received after the due date, will not be considered. However, a fresh nomination (only once) can be made, if the nominee has not yet crossed the age bar.
- A nomination will remain valid for consideration for 3 years or the eligibility age whichever expires earlier.
- The number of awards to be made in any year will be limited to a maximum of two.
- The proforma should be neatly typewritten giving complete information about the nominee under each column.
