To be eligible, an applicant must –
- be a maximum of 30 years of age as of 1st April 2023
- be an Indian citizen residing in India
- have registered for a Ph.D. degree in a recognised university or research institution in India
- have pre-authorization or prior consent from the institute/university to apply for a foreign fellowship program
The selected candidates will receive a fellowship support of 1,500 Euros per month for daily expenses, local travel, accommodation charges plus social security charges.
Other benefits:
- To and fro air ticket in economy class between India and France
- Insurance coverage (travel & health) wherever is required
- Any administrative costs for visa and registration (if any)
- Carte de Sejour (if any) [Note: It is a French residence permit for people who come to stay in France for up to a year]
- Bus/Train tickets for travel including (if any)
- Accommodation charges (if any)
- A fellow may be provided with additional support (up to Euro 500 for Indian fellows) for participating in a seminar/workshop during their term of the fellowship and staying in their host countries. The same will be limited to registration fees (if any).
Note:
- No support will be provided for the family members during the fellowship period.
- The above or similar claims will be provided on actual receipts, proof of participation/acceptance of the paper and after the completion of fellowship duration by the awarded student (at the time of TA/DA settlement).
- A scanned copy of the passport (both front and back)
- A recent photograph
- A detailed description of the research plan/proposal/research/educational proposal in the prescribed format (not exceeding 5 pages)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the prescribed format (not exceeding 2 pages)
- A letter of recommendation from the PhD supervisor
- A letter of agreement from the proposed host supervisor in the fellowship lab
- Ph.D. synopsis or short summary of the Ph.D. work with the title (not exceeding 2 pages) [For Ph.D. students]
- Research experience letter or publications, if any (first author or co-author); (Note – Kindly combine the first page of all the publications and enclose as a single PDF file.)
- No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Institution (Only for Indian applicants)
