IIT JAM 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has extended the deadline for the registrations of Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) 2024. the last date to register has been extended till October 20.
Interested candidates will be able to apply at the official website — jam.iitm.ac.in. Earlier, students had time from September 5 to October 13 to apply.
The IIT JAM 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 11, 2024. After the exam, the responses and answer key will be made available through JOAPS login, and the result for the same will be declared on March 22, 2024 and the score cards will be made available on April 2, 2024. Following this, the application for admission will begin on April 10, 2024.
Eligibility
There is no age restriction. Foreign nationals with Indian degrees are eligible to apply, subject to the policy of the admitting Institute.
Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes are eligible to apply for JAM 2024 examination.
New programmes
IIT Roorkee added a New Academic Programme MSc (Biosciences and Bioengineering). The institute also added a new programme for admitting students to MSc (Biosciences and Bioengineering) with JAM – Biotechnology score for the academic year 2024-25. IIT Mandi also added a new academic programme.
The Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM) is conducted to provide admissions to MSc, MSc (Tech), MS (Research), MSc – MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc – PhD, and MSc – PhD Dual Degree, at the IITs for taking up science as a career option for the students.
