NEW DELHI: TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) Bengaluru and Southampton Business School, University of Southampton (SBS-UoS) have signed an agreement to offer TAPMI Bengaluru students an opportunity to study a one-year MSc programme at the University of Southampton. The students will receive an MSc degree from SBS-UoS.
The 1-year MSc programmes in management will offer specialisation in areas including marketing, finance, operations, IT, analytics, decision sciences, and HR. TAPMI students have to meet the eligibility criteria set by SBS-UoS to enrol in the one-year MSc programme.
TAPMI will accept the credits and scores earned by the students during their MSc programme at the University of Southampton and will award them the BBA Honors degree from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE).
Benefits of the MSc programmes at Southampton
SBS-UoS will offer a 10% international student fee discount to all TAPMI students enrolled in the programme. Some additional scholarships and academic benefits will also be granted to deserving TAPMI students based on their academic performance. Students will be eligible for a two-year work visa in the UK upon completing the one-year MSc programme. This visa can be further extended to permanent residency if sponsored by an employer.
Madhu Veeraraghavan, pro-vice chancellor, MAHE stated that the partnership will mark a significant turning point in the nation’s management education and is an achievement for TAPMI. Aditya Jadhav, dean of TAPMI Bengaluru, thinks that this change will assist the TAPMI BBA students to achieve success globally.
Southampton Business School is ranked among the top 10 business schools in the UK and the University of Southampton is ranked 78 among the top universities worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings.
