The University of East Anglia has launched an updated and improved MSc in Business Analytics and Management. The new course is managed by experts at Norwich Business School. Interested and eligible students can apply at the official website— uea.ac.uk/course/postgraduate/msc-business-analytics-and-management.
In this new course, the university has combined four options in a semester so that students can choose to prepare a business plan, write a dissertation, undertake a work placement or get involved in a work-based project sponsored by a UK business. The programme puts a strong emphasis on practical or academic application.
In semester three, when students choose the business plan module, they will sharpen their skills to develop a sustainable business plan for their start-up idea. They will also have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a board of investors. Students will acquire subject specific skills and learning from other modules covering marketing, planning, budgeting, finance and legal aspects. They will get to showcase what their business offers to its target audience— from an investor to new staff.
With the dissertation optional module in semester three, students have the chance to develop independent research skills and theoretical knowledge in the subject of their choice. It will help them probe a research problem in-depth.
The organisation-sponsored project module will provide students with an option to undertake a project addressing an issue identified by an organisation and provide a solution for it.
The focus is on experiential learning and providing students with practical opportunities to equip students with skills and insights needed in the field.
