In a noteworthy achievement, first-year MBA students at the Indian Institute of Management, IIM Calcutta, have successfully received an average monthly stipend of Rs 1.65 lakh during their summer internships. Despite the challenging market conditions, the institute’s students showcased exceptional performance, underscoring their talent and dedication in the corporate landscape.
IIM Calcutta successfully concluded the summer internship placement cycle for first-year students on October 18, securing 513 offers for 466 students enrolled in the flagship two-year MBA programme.
Despite prevailing macroeconomic challenges, the students achieved a record-breaking average stipend of Rs 1.65 lakh per month, with the median stipend reaching an impressive Rs 1.7 lakh per month, according to the statement released on Wednesday.
The top 25 percentile of the batch received an average stipend of Rs 2.31 lakh per month, while the highest domestic stipend reached an impressive Rs 3.75 lakh per month, as per the records.
IIM Calcutta demonstrated an unwavering commitment to its ethos of “leaving no one behind” by guaranteeing placements for all candidates who participated in the placement process, as stated in the announcement.
